What are WildEarth Kids Safaris

We take children of all ages and from all over the globe on live and interactive safari experiences, transporting them from wherever they are onto the back of a virtual safari vehicle!

For one hour, kids jump on board and tour some of the most iconic wildlife areas in the world. They interact with our expert naturalists in real time as they drive through the African wilderness, asking questions about what they see.

Students send questions to expert naturalists and get them answered in real time.

To hear their name and get their question answered live on tv changes lives.

Engagement like this leads to a love of the natural world.

With decades of experience and access to the latest technology, we bring the African wild to thousands of viewers all over the world. We broadcast live from some of the most spectacular wildlife locations in Africa.

Why We Love Taking Kids from Around the World on a WildEarth Safari

WildEarth believes that our children are the future custodians of our precious wild places and the unique animals that live in them. Giving them amazing, interactive experiences and helping them learn about the African bush helps them to learn about the wild. As our fantastic naturalists guide your kids and introduce them to our beloved animals characters like Tlalamba the leopard, Dewey the hippo and Corky the hyena, they meet these characters and form a connection with them. They can follow their lives and stories on our safaris and grow to love them.

One day, these children will become our naturalists, nature enthusiasts, conservationists and world leaders and they will carry this love and respect for our wild earth with them.

Many of you will remember that we were able to offer this service to schools daily prior to the pandemic. Since then we have struggled but now, courtesy of the support of our WildEarth Explorers, we are able to bring it back permanently.

Our aim is to offer this to schools every day and be able to extend our reach across the globe.

A heartfelt thanks from the WildEarth team to all of our Explorers who have helped to touch the lives of children who may well turn out to be the future saviors of our planet.

“Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care, will we help. Only if we help shall all be saved.”

Frequently asked questions

What animals are we likely to see?

  • The most common animals we see on safari are lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, impala, mongooses, kudu, wildebeest and lots of birds and insects.

Will we see anything too graphic during the safari?

  • We understand that nature can be graphic. We’re committed to avoiding overly graphic content during WildEarth Kids sessions – carcasses, killing and graphic mating will be avoided or shown very wide.

Will this work with my class curriculum?

  • It is important to realize that WildEarth Kids and safariLIVE are not classrooms and there is no agenda or curriculum in the show. While we appreciate the opportunity to connect the content of these live safaris to what your kids might be learning, our naturalists will always focus their discussion on what is happening on safari.

Where can I send thank you cards and/or videos?

  • In return for your live safari experience, we encourage you to send thank-you videos, pictures, drawings or letters, from the kids. Videos can be filmed easily on your phone, just turn your screen to horizontal. You can share them with us via Google Drive as follows:
    • Please send your video clips, voice recordings and pictures by putting them into a Google Drive folder and sharing that Google Drive to Kyle.Wood@wildearth.tv. Make sure the settings for the link say “anyone with the link can open”.
    • Please label your google drive folder the following way: WE-KIDS_Date joined_School Name_Age of students. Please use your google drive folder name as the subject line for the email.
    • You can also email them to us at school@wildearth.tv
