Rexon and Jan will be leaving for a while. Jan is going on his two week break and Rex is going to Johannesburg where he will attend some presenter coaching. Pieter and Hayley return from their holiday and from Sunday morning Pieter will be presenting again.
On a different note, and harder to write about, Rob has decided to go and ride waves of a different kind. Sadly our surfer camera operator will be leaving WildEarth. Table Mountain and the cold waters of Cape Town have drawn him back and away from the bush. He also has plans of going to Europe early next year. WE and all of his great fans bid him farewell and hope that the road ahead will be smooth and productive. May the swells rise up to meet him and the wind remain at his back … you will be missed Rob. Maybe WE will see you again on the game drive one day. Good Luck and thank you.
Rexon returns a week from tomorrow, he won’t make the journey alone, but will be accompanied by Alex Sletton. A man who has roamed the wild jungles of the Congo and walked across Iceland alone. Alex seems like a pure wild one and WE cant wait for him to come and wield the camera, and be our ‘eyes’ showing us the best that the bush here in Djuma Game Reserve has to offer. WE will welcome him with open arms, and are looking forward to great times and sightings … its in our nature.

In response to the anonymous Djuma viewer comment on Nov. 22 – I have tried to get onto a game drive for months and my computer is fast. I don’t think it has anything to do with your computer. Because of the viewer, I was finally able to experience a game drive.
As to the anonymous comment on Nov. 19, I don’t think that you realize the challenges that WE face and how fortunate that we are that we can see a game drive at all!! It is an amazing thing to me to be able to see it happening live from halfway around the world. That thing is strapped to a truck driving around in the African bush! Tell me where else you can see that?

Please do something about this link: http://www.omnimaxx.com/view/djumaviewer.htm it’s making it VERY hard for others to get in now, because A) People are abusing it and B) it’s unfair to others who have slower comps so please do something to shut it down
I am on a slower comp and do use this to get on drives that I would not otherwise be able to. This is no different than those that enter a url into WMP hundreds of times to avoid carpal tunnel. This is more rampant than the use of this url. By listing the url you have also futher decreased your chances as you have provided it to the entire world now. I am sorry you do not get into more drives and hope you do manage more.
Many of us join forums in hope that one person gets on and we enjoy the ride through their eyes.
I too do not wish for any method to be abused but do welcome ways to increase my chances other than physical injury.
Good luck to you

I have not been able to get in in over a month and I was always fair about it,once I saw a full drive I won’t try to see another one for a week, why can’t other people be fair about it? some people see it everyday and it’s not fair
Good Luck Rob and here is hoping for the best waves you can catch a ride on! Thanks for all the hard work.

Rob, thanks for the hard work you have done for WE, especially since the bush wasn’t particularly kind to you. Best of luck with whatever paths life takes you – We’re certainly glad you crossed ours!

first let me say good luck to rob & thank you for all the good work he has done to bring us the most beautiful picture of sa.now to we you people need to get your act toghter. you want people to donate money to you, for what? for picture at night that we can not see, for drive that most of us can not get on,for drive that last only a hour or two,due to battery promble or cams that do not work.before you think of ask people for there money you need to show them that you can show them that you can bring them the best picture that you can bring .a while back you at we told us that there will be more slot, and a new vehicle, better night cam .and a lot more, but as of yet we have not seen any of that.you keep telling us that all thise new change are coming ,but when and were? until you start to show the people new and better things i don’t think you will get anything from anyone. sorry to have to say this but it is not like you have not heard it all before just like we have heard it all before from we.
Aww, so sorry to see Rob leaving. Wishing him well on his future endeavors, he’s given us some great shots!
