Noelle may have begun her life in the Northeast of the United States, but she has always lived her life in the out-of-doors. She spent her childhood playing outside, exploring the fields around her house and going on hikes. These early experiences shaped the way Noelle interacts with the world to this day: “If you spend your formative years constantly outside, then why spend your adult years constantly indoors?” After getting a Bachelor’s at the University of Montana in Anthropology, Noelle landed in Tanzania as a volunteer and immediately fell in love with the region.

After spending only a year on the continent and making her way to South Africa, Noelle had discovered the career of Safari Guide. While this job doesn’t exist in the United States, it immediately appealed to Noelle’s love of the wilderness, education and of course, getting to spend her days outside. It wasn’t long, therefore, before she began her training. Since then, in spite of being both a foreigner and a woman, Noelle has been very successful for what started out as an accidental career, which has included: FGASA Level 2 training, Advanced Trails Guiding, Cyber Tracker Level III, South Luangwa Guiding License Grade 2 and last but not least, Safari Guide of the Year Runner-Up 2016.

Noelle is excited to join SafariLIVE as it will allow her to pursue guiding on such a different level. No longer will she have the ears of just the handful of people on her vehicle, but she will be able to reach people all over the world, experiencing with them, informing them, and developing long-term interactions with them. As sharing her fascination of all aspects of the African Bush is so very important to Noelle, there really could be no better place for her to do so.

Welcome to the team Noelle and may WE share hours of conversation, laughs and visions of wildlife.
