We would like to provide you with an update about the progress of the schools project you supported by purchasing drawings and t-shirts with Thandi and Tlalamba’s image.
We had hoped to complete this project in September but unfortunately it is taking a bit longer than expected. The computers and TVs have been purchased and will start making their way to Dixie and Utha soon. They are expected to arrive in Hoedspruit on Monday, October 15th and we will then officially be handed over to the schools later that week.
The internet connection of the school in Utha, which WildEarth will install to make sure the children can make full use of the PCs and TVs, is proving to be more complicated than we expected. There is a line of high trees that is making a direct link from the school to Gowrie repeater impossible. We are working around this by creating a second link through the village and expect to have this up and running by the time the new devices arrive.
Of course the hand-over and first viewing will be filmed and shared with all of you so you can see the difference your support made to these children.
Thanks for keeping us updated. I can’t want to see the video. Where my sweatshirt right now. Helps in the already cold Kansas
We all know that the tech issues and Gremlins can be very challenging at times….but if anyone can make this happen for the schools, then WildEarth can!!
Asante Sana so much for all that you do and also for allowing us to feel a part of it by helping. Looking forward to more updates. Nakupenda Sana for all that you do to help ensure a bright future for animals and people alike
Thank you for this update. The kids are definitely looking forward to receiving the “stuff “. Have myself visited schools near the Manyelati seeing the lack of all things related to school work. This is wonderful what you all do. I’m really looking forward to watching the filming from the hand-over. Thank you.
Wonderful news! Every school improvement project has delays. Thank you from the bottom of this teacher’s heart you are supporting local schools, staff and students. WE have opened the world to them.

I’m sure everyone is more than happy to accept however long this takes. What a wonderful thing you are doing. I’m happy to have been a tiny piece of it. Thanks for the update and I’ll look forward to the big day we see those kids online!!
