Here at WildEarth, every year during impala lambing season the guides challenge each other to see who can guess the date that we see our first new born impala lamb on WildEarth.

As soon as the first female in a breeding herd of impalas gives birth, all the other females drop their lambs too as this gives them a greater chance of survival against predators. It is an incredible phenomenon which has evolved to help these prey animals survive.
