Frequently Asked Questions
Your WildEarth tokens are a wonderful way of helping to support and conserve the habitat of your favourite animals, right now and hopefully, into the future. These tokens should not be viewed as an investment as the market for NFT’s is risky and extremely volatile. The value of these NFTs can vary dramatically in the secondary market. Please understand that by purchasing a token you are choosing to support the wild animals that you have come to know and love on our channel. However, the value of the related NFTs is highly volatile and may even drop to zero in the future. We at WildEarth are delighted to be able to offer you this opportunity to be able to contribute directly to the welfare of habitats and your favourite animals but please do not purchase any tokens with money that you cannot afford to lose.
Congratulations on your purchase and thank you for supporting the conservation of our wild animals and their habitats with the purchase of our Animal Conservation NFT’s. By simply holding your NFTs you’ll receive monthly updates about the animals in the Genesis collections. Please refer to the Animal NFTs page, the roadmap on our website for further information about NFT’s, their utility, and feel free to conduct your own research into the NFT market and the purchasing and reselling of NFTs.
The crypto wallet you choose to use is important in order to be able to receive our NFT’s. Your wallet will need to be able to receive NFT’s minted on the Polygon (MATIC) blockchain otherwise they will be lost upon transfer and are irretrievable and irreplaceable thereafter. Should you decide to not only hold and transfer your NFT’s but also resell them, please make sure your wallet is connectable to desired marketplaces (e.g. OpenSea).

We believe that wildlife conservation is all about conserving productive wildlife habitats which will enable wild animals to continue to roam freely and unhindered. Purchasing our unique Animal Conservation NFTs provides a financial incentive to the custodians of the habitats to continue to conserve their land and generates a new, less damaging to the wildlife than tourism, stream of income. So if an Animal Conservation NFT is purchased for a specific leopard known to live or to have lived in a specific area or multiple areas, the custodian of that area will be paid 40% of the sale in local currency to continue to conserve that habitat. If these NFTs are resold in the future, a portion of 8% of the value of every resale is paid perpetually in local currency to the custodian of the land, as well as 2% to WildEarth to support the broadcasting of the animals. We believe this is a wonderful way to help keep our wild areas and animals free to live their lives with minimal human interference.
A small portion of the value of the sale may be claimed by the wallet or the platform on which the token is sold. This will vary per wallet and platform. Please check the terms and conditions of your specific wallet and resale platform for further information.
Each NFT collection is linked to one unique individual animal. E.g. the Karula Collection is for the leopard Karula. There is a maximum supply of NFTs per collection that can be minted, varying between 300 and 1,200. For every NFT minted, WildEarth mints one extra NFT into our treasury to be sold at a later stage to provide continuous income for the custodians. You can purchase up to 10 NFTs per animal collection.
No, not at all. This is a separate project to our broadcasting and Channel and you can continue watching WildEarth entirely for free.
The reseller sets a price on any NFT marketplace and will receive 90%, while 10% by its underlying contract is attributed to the conservation of the animals. The various marketplaces will further charge a percentage for the exchange. Please research the various marketplaces policies.
This part largely depends on the NFT wallet (e.g. Venly.io or Torus wallet) you used to purchase your NFTs or indicated during the checkout by credit card. In some incl. Venly.io and Torus wallet your NFTs are displayed a few minutes after your purchase if you are connected to the Polygon network in your settings. Sometimes they need a little longer to be properly displayed and some wallets including Coinbase Wallet and Trust Wallet your NFTs are correctly attributed to your wallet on the Polygon blockchain, their interface, however, is not capable of displaying your NFTs properly.
To verify whether your NFTs have been correctly attributed to your wallet simply go to Polygonscan and search for your public wallet address in the search field. Once your wallet is displayed and in case you have received your Wildlife Conservation NFT you will see a tab entitled ‘ERC-721 Token Txns’ where your NFTs will be listed. Here you’ll also directly see your NFTs’ Contract and Token IDs.
All our Wildlife Conservation NFTs are automatically also listed to Opensea.io, the largest marketplace for NFTs. To learn how to view and trade your NFTs from there and how to import NFTs into your Metamask mobile app view the Step-by-step guides on our wallets page.
